because if I am going to be distracted and not study, I am doing something damn productive!
so many people are making a fad of disabilities. why is that you say? "oh my gothsh! i am ttly bipolar and stuffs! i get rlly mad and really happy randomly! hahahaha!" NO. and these illnesses are all over the media when in fact they don't go to a doctor and "self diagnose" something that isn't really there. Autism and bipolar are HUGE media fad illnesses. if you have ten autistic friends who act like there is absolutely nothing wrong with them, either they are lying, or their parents got them to believe they have it +90% of the time. Especially if they were only diagnosed about 2 or less years ago when the fad STARTED. having bad social skills is or getting the MMR vaccine like everyone else does not mean you have autism. not getting good grades doesn't mean you have ADD or ADHD. getting mood swings doesn't make you bipolar. SERIOUSLY PEOPLE. and people who ACTUALLY have the illness might just end up not taken seriously because "oh, you're just following the faaaaaad". our world is so backwards. i need to write a poem of all the social wrongs, you would probably have a better perception of why i hate society so much XD
i need to make more stamps like this, the snarky ones are fun to make

if there's any i missed and you think they should be here, leave it in the suggestions! ~
some clarifications: i don't have anything against people with these illnesses, but if you went to a doctor and was tested for it and are not lying about having it for attention is completely different. make sure it's a good doctor though, certain fad illnesses have apparently been diagnosed (like bipolar) in children when it's very difficult by standard to diagnose them until near adulthood. i DO research these things

It's usually pretty easy to tell when somebody is faking it or not. They mix up symptoms, seem to flaunt it everywhere, use it as an excuse not to do things and cannot tell you anything when you ask about their treatment.
My friend lied about having bipolar, and myself - being diagnosed and treated for depression/social phobia - was keen to ask her how hers was going. I felt quite betrayed when I figured out she was lying, as I trusted her with a lot of sensitive information thinking she could relate.
you always just feel...dying.
yet people think it is soo cool.
live a day in my fucking life,
come out with bruises for what i am diagnosed with.
ya, soooo cool. -.-
There are plenty of other ways to be depressed, like family problems, health problems, or just hating life.
You go shut the fuck up and step on a lego.
I love misunderstandings!
I mean in general, little kids, like young teenagers that break up with their boyfriends or girlfriends are always whining and are so 'depressed'
I myself have Chronic Depression and Acute Anxiety disorder, as well as Phobias.
I was in no way mocking or making fun of you and I sincerely apologize for it coming out that way.
btw I love doctor who <3
sorry for your chronic depression, hope it gets better. *but it might not. *sigh*
and yes, doctor who is amazing.
